I've had people ask me, "Is it really a problem?"
The "it" being asked about is the difference in respect between girls and boys sports. Most people don't think there is any difference, so, is it really a problem?
I think that it is. If you follow sports, you probably have a favorite team. You probably know the names of that team's players and the names of that team's rivals. And that team is probably a boys' team. Very few people know much about girls' teams. Boys just have teams that are much more popular.
But why? I think it's because boys' sports have been around longer, and people don't want to change. They don't want to watch girls' sports. I just want people to give them a try, to watch girls' sports and make their opinion afterwards, not before.
